Experts on Display

MainAd are a team of savvy, focused and ambitious individuals with a clear focus on delivering digital advertising campaigns that yield real results for clients, using sophisticated technology. Except, their existing identity didn’t reflect this.

Originally, MainAd commissioned a brand agency to create a whole new identity and name. But the results were wide of the mark, so an internal team was challenged to understand what made MainAd different and to build a strategic brand that would resonate with the world.

The internal team spent lots of time crafting a set of foundational values, mission statement and attributes to help inform a new identity.

At this point, MainAd contacted us to help mould a new identity to reflect their values.

The Clear Choice

The in-depth research carried out by the internal team helped inform the foundations of the new identity.

The marketing team placed major emphasis on transparency in their processes, performance models and technology. This culminated in the core brand proposition:
“The clear choice in online advertising.”

MainAd could also be distilled into three core services that represented three major values and behaviours that all came together to make a complete whole.

We worked on crafting a brand symbol that would portray these three segments that could function as individual pieces as well as together in harmony. The ‘Kiaro’ was born.

Located in Pescara, in the heart of coastal Italy, the name 'Kiaro' is derived from the Italian 'chiaro', meaning clear and obvious.

Symbols & Segments

The Kiaro drew inspiration from the universal WiFi symbol which has obvious connections with MainAd’s online advertising services.

Each segment of the Kiaro represents not just the company values, but their main expertise: Retargeting, Brand Protection and Display Advertising.

In application, the segments are intelligently integrated into black and white imagery, emanating from devices to people and back again, to portray how MainAd’s technology silently permeates daily life.

Custom Iconography

We crafted a custom set of icons for MainAd that help to identify features and carry the story across marketing materials.

Elements of style

MainAd’s brand identity style guide makes sure its robust identity — logo, colours, typefaces, icons, shapes, and all the other little things — will continue to shine through consistently in every situation, from business card to billboard ad.

In the wild

The new brand identity is built to go from the formality of a style guide into the big wide world where people can touch it, feel it and experience it. In application, the brand exhudes personality, confidence and clarity.
